FRANK TORRE
Frank Torre is an accomplished business leader, nationally recognized advocate for veterans, and dedicated philanthropist whose career exemplifies entrepreneurial vision, civic leadership, and a deep commitment to giving back.
A pioneering entrepreneur, Frank was the Founder and CEO of Torre & Bruglio, Inc., a company he launched with just one truck and a vision. Under his leadership, the firm grew into one of the largest commercial landscape architecture and construction services companies in North America, employing more than 1,200 people and operating a fleet of over 300 vehicles nationwide. Together with its subsidiaries—Torre Golf Management, Inc. and Torre & Bruglio Athletic Division, Inc.—the company developed a portfolio of national clients and managed some of the country’s most iconic venues, including NFL and MLB sports facilities such as the Detroit Tigers Athletic Field at Comerica Park.
Today, Frank serves as Co-CEO of Signal Restoration Services and Vice Chairman of PuroClean, where he brings strategic insight, operational excellence, and a strong sense of purpose. At PuroClean, Frank leads the PuroVet Program, a groundbreaking initiative empowering veterans through franchise ownership. Inspired by his father, Frank Torre Sr., a Marine who served in the legendary Carlson’s Raiders during World War II, the program helps veterans transition to entrepreneurship and build lasting careers in the property restoration industry.
Under Frank’s leadership, PuroVet has forged a powerful alliance with the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) and its Founder and CEO, Keith King, providing veteran franchise owners access to national certification and supplier diversity opportunities. Distinguished leaders—including Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Dick Miller, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jack Bergman, Col. (Ret.) Mark Gerhart, and Col. (Ret.) Kathryn Poynton—have joined Frank in championing PuroVet as a national model for veteran entrepreneurship. His advocacy extends through partnerships with organizations such as Tunnel to Towers, and his leadership was recently honored with a Special Tribute from the State of Michigan at the Montford Point Marines Heritage Military Banquet, recognizing his service, patriotism, and economic impact.
Beyond business, Frank’s civic and philanthropic leadership is equally distinguished. He serves on the Executive Board of Tenet Healthcare Systems, and as Chairman of the Board for both the Detroit Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) and the RIM Foundation. Under his tenure, RIM has become one of the nation’s premier rehabilitation hospitals, advancing medical research and developing innovative treatments for individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain trauma, stroke, and other life-altering disabilities. Through his leadership of the annual RIM Foundation Gala, Frank has helped raise more than $11 million to support rehabilitation research and community programs.
Frank’s commitment to youth and education is equally strong. As Chairman of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit, he has raised over $8 million to fund scholarships, mentorship, and educational initiatives for underprivileged youth. His ongoing efforts reflect a lifelong dedication to empowering future generations through opportunity and education.
An environmental advocate and civic leader, Frank was appointed by the Governor of Michigan to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board and serves on the Executive Board of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. His leadership and influence have been consistently recognized—he was named one of dBusiness Magazine’s “500 Most Powerful Business Leaders in Michigan” (2018–2025) and was inducted into the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit’s Heritage Hall of Fame for his lasting contributions to Detroit’s revitalization.
For more than two decades, Frank has also collaborated with his longtime friend Roger Penske, Chairman of the Penske Corporation, to host the Detroit Grand Prix Races. The event raises critical funds for the Belle Isle Conservancy, supporting and preserving one of the largest and oldest historic urban parks in the nation.
Frank Torre’s legacy is one of visionary leadership, patriotic service, and community empowerment—from revitalizing cities and building national enterprises to opening doors for America’s veterans to succeed in business and in life.
